HOW DID FREEBIRD ADVENTURES START?

FREEBIRD ADVENTURES is a dedicated motorbike tour company founded in 2010 by a local Vietnamese man named Minh. Minh’s journey to creating Freebird Adventures is an inspiring story of perseverance and passion. Before starting the company, he worked a variety of jobs across Vietnam—from cleaning shoes and working in factories to making coffee and raising ducks on farms.

One day, while working a shift at a restaurant in Hanoi’s Old Quarter, Minh met a group of Kiwi travelers. He overheard them discussing their journey from Ho Chi Minh City to Hanoi. They found their experience underwhelming and lacking excitement. Minh suggested that they try traveling by motorbike to explore the lesser-known, beautiful regions in Northern Vietnam. That simple piece of advice sparked something bigger—it inspired Minh to establish Freebird Adventures. Since that day, his motto has been: “Keep going, never give up!”

Freebird Adventures is a fully registered and licensed Vietnamese motorbike tour company. We are based in Ngoc Thuy, Long Bien, Hanoi—the capital of Vietnam. Our location is conveniently close to Noi Bai International Airport.

Late-Model, Quality Motorcycles: We are proud to have the largest fleet of well-maintained bikes among any tour company in Vietnam. All our motorcycles are officially registered to the company, ensuring you ride a legal, roadworthy bike – no second-hand bikes with fake plates here. We don’t rent out our bikes; they are exclusively for our guided tours.

Exciting Activities Included: Every adventure includes a range of exciting activities, all covered within the tour price.

Safety First: Safety is our top priority. Our guides possess extensive local knowledge, connections, and first aid training. We travel with a full first aid kit and maintain a network of private and local health clinics along our routes. We monitor road conditions and assess rider capabilities during the tour, adjusting routes as needed. In the rare event of an emergency, we are prepared to work with clients’ insurance providers and provide the necessary documentation for claims.
