Itinerary
Day 1: Hanoi – Pu Luong Nature Reserve (180 km)
Escape the busy capital on winding mountain roads toward the lush green valleys of Pu Luong. Ride past rice terraces, waterfalls, and Thai ethnic villages. Overnight in a traditional stilt homestay.
Day 2: Pu Luong – Tan Ky (200 km)
Ride through the quiet Ho Chi Minh Trail countryside. Cross bamboo bridges and stop for coffee with locals. Overnight in Tan Ky – the official starting point of the historical Ho Chi Minh Trail.
Day 3: Tan Ky – Phong Nha National Park (240 km)
A beautiful day of rural riding! You’ll follow winding mountain passes into Phong Nha, home to Vietnam’s biggest cave system. Explore the village in the evening and rest by the river.
Day 4: Explore Phong Nha National Park
Free day to visit Paradise Cave or take a boat trip into the famous Phong Nha Cave. Optional short ride to local farms or waterfalls.
Day 5: Phong Nha – Khe Sanh (230 km)
This is the heart of the Ho Chi Minh Trail! Stunning jungle landscapes and historical war sites along the way — A Luoi, Dakrong Bridge, and Khe Sanh Combat Base. Overnight in Khe Sanh.
Day 6: Khe Sanh – A Luoi (160 km)
More adventure as you ride twisty mountain passes through small minority villages. Experience real Vietnam off the tourist path. Stay overnight in a local guesthouse.
Day 7: A Luoi – Hue (150 km)
Descend from the mountains into Hue — the Imperial City. Visit ancient citadels, sample local food, and relax after an amazing day’s ride.
Day 8: Hue – Hoi An via Hai Van Pass (160 km)
One of the world’s most famous coastal roads! Enjoy incredible ocean views as you ride the Hai Van Pass into Da Nang and then along the coast to beautiful Hoi An.
Day 9: Explore Hoi An – End of Tour
Spend your final day relaxing in Hoi An’s ancient town or at the beach. Farewell dinner and end of your unforgettable Vietnam motorbike adventure.
